Since the beginning of October 10, 114 combat engagements have occurred on the front. Today's most intense fighting is in the Lyman, Pokrovsk, and Kurakhove directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian shelling

Today, the enemy has launched four missile strikes (15 missiles) on Ukrainian territory, 45 airstrikes (75 guided bombs), and used 635 kamikaze drones for attacks.

Additionally, Russian troops have carried out over 3,400 shellings of Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces attacked four times near Vovchansk and Tykhe.

Today, Russian losses in this direction include 63 personnel killed and wounded, three artillery systems destroyed, two armored combat vehicles, a Mi-8 helicopter, 14 UAVs, and four vehicles. Ukrainian forces also damaged three artillery systems, four vehicles, and two pieces of special equipment.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces attempted 12 assaults throughout the day near Synkivka, Lozova, Kolisnykivka, and Stepova Novoselivka. Ukrainian forces repelled seven enemy attacks. Fighting continues in five locations.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces attacked 30 times in the areas of Druzheliubivka, Hrekivka, Ploshchanka, Nevske, Makiivka, Novosadove, Torske, and in the Serebryansky forest. Four clashes are ongoing, while Ukrainian forces halted the rest.

In the Siversk direction, Russian forces unsuccessfully tried to breach our defenses four times near Verkhniokamianske.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian activity resulted in seven combat engagements. Six assaults near Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Chasiv Yar, and Stupochky were halted. Currently, fighting is ongoing near Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled seven enemy attacks near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka. Ukrainian forces stopped four assaults, and three engagements are still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces attempted 18 breaches of Ukrainian defenses. Since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian defenders have repelled 17 attacks in the areas of Selydove, Krutyi Yar, Promin, Lysivka, Myroliubivka, and Kalynove. One assault is ongoing.

According to preliminary information, Ukrainian troops neutralized over 250 Russian forces in this direction today, 103 of them permanently. Twelve artillery systems, two BM-21 Grad MLRS, four armored combat vehicles, and 11 vehicles were destroyed, while a BM-21 MLRS, six armored vehicles, and five enemy vehicles were damaged.

In the Kurakhove direction, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 15 times. Their most significant activity was near Novoselydivka, Kreminna Balka, Tsukuryne, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, Katerynivka, and Antonivka, where Ukrainian forces repelled 13 assaults. Two engagements are ongoing.

In the Vremivka direction, Ukrainian forces repelled nine enemy attacks. Russian troops are attempting to advance toward Bohoyavlenka.

In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces twice attempted to attack Ukrainian positions direction near Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne but faced strong resistance.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Russian forces continue attempting to dislodge Ukrainian units from their positions. The enemy carried out four unsuccessful assaults during the day.

Frontline situation and enemy losses

According to preliminary data from the General Staff of Ukraine, the Russians are continuing active assaults on Ukrainian positions in the Lyman, Kurakhove, and Pokrovsk directions.

According to a report by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russian forces advanced in Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region, along the Kupiansk-Svatove-Kreminna line, near Siversk, and in southern Toretsk.

Ukrainian forces advanced during a counteroffensive east of Pokrovsk, while Russian troops gained ground southeast of Pokrovsk.

Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, it has lost over 665,000 personnel. In the past day alone, Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated an additional 1,080 Russian troops and destroyed one tank, 14 armored combat vehicles, 41 artillery systems, and other enemy equipment.
