Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, repelling Russian attacks near Orlivka (Donetsk region) and destroying an enemy X-31 missile, according to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian shelling

The enemy continues to wage an aggressive war. Despite significant losses, they do not abandon plans for the complete occupation of Ukraine, ignore the laws and customs of war, use tactics of terror, and strike military and civilian objects.

The enemy actively uses aviation and FPV-type quadcopters, conducts assault actions with the support of armored vehicles. The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains difficult. During the day, there were 70 clashes.

Overall, the enemy launched 2 rocket and 68 aviation attacks, conducted 37 shelling with reactive multiple rocket launchers on the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population due to Russian terrorist attacks. Multi-storey and private houses, as well as other infrastructure objects, have been damaged and destroyed.

Frontline situation

On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the operational situation remains unchanged. There are no signs of forming attacking groups.

On the Siversk and Slobozhanske fronts, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, conducts sabotage-reconnaissance activities, shells populated areas from Russian territory, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the Ukrainian state border.

The enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas of populated areas Vilne, Velyka Pysarivka, Popivka in the Sumy region; and Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region. Approximately 30 populated areas, including Rozhkivychi, Holubivka, Seredyna-Buda, Krasnopillia, Zapsillia, Popivka in the Sumy region; Hraniv, Strylcha, Borysivka in Kharkiv region, were shelled by enemy artillery and mortar fire.

On the Kupiansk front, our defenders repelled 4 enemy attacks in the areas of populated areas Tabaivka in the Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region, where the enemy attempted to displace units from occupied positions. An aviation strike was carried out in the area of the populated area of Nadiia in the Luhansk region.

More than 10 populated areas, including Synkivka, Ivanivka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region, came under artillery and mortar fire.

On the Lyman front, our soldiers repelled 5 enemy attacks in the areas of populated areas Terny and Yampolivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy attempted to break through the defense of our troops. The enemy carried out an aviation strike in the area of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region.

More than 10 populated areas, including Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region; Terny, Spirne, Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region, suffered from artillery and mortar shelling.

On the Bakhmut front, the Defense Forces repelled 3 enemy attacks in the areas east of Chasiv Yar, Bohdanivka, and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, tried to improve its tactical position. The enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas of populated areas Predtechyne, New York, and Druzhba in the Donetsk region.

Approximately 10 populated areas, including Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, New York in the Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar fire.

On the Avdiivka front, our defenders repelled 14 enemy attacks in the areas of populated areas Berdychiv, Orlivka, Tonenke, and Pershomyaiske in the Donetsk region. The enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas of populated areas Oleksandrivka, Keramik, Novobakhmutivka, Novoselivka Persha, and Novooleksandrivka in the Donetsk region.

Approximately 20 populated areas, including Oleksandrivka, Keramik, Novobakhmutivka, and Semenivka in the Donetsk region, were shelled by enemy artillery and mortar fire.

On the Novopavlivka front, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with aviation support, attempted 19 times to break through the defense of our troops. The enemy also carried out aviation strikes in the areas of populated areas Maksymilianivka, Vodiane, and Maksymivka in the Donetsk region.

Approximately 20 populated areas, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka, and Vuhledar in the Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar fire.

On the Orihiv front, with aviation support, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders 5 times in the areas of Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region, west of Verbove and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.

The enemy also carried out aviation strikes in the areas of populated areas Neskuchne in the Donetsk region and Mala Tokmachka in the Zaporizhzhia region. Approximately 20 populated areas, including Poltavka, Chervone, Bilohiria, and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region, came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group, on the Kherson front, approximately 30 populated areas, including Tiahynka, Ivanivka, Sadove, and Mykolaivka in the Kherson region, were shelled by enemy artillery and mortar fire.

Situation on the left bank of the Dnipro River

The enemy persists in its intention to dislodge our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro.

During the day, the enemy conducted 2 unsuccessful assault actions on the positions of our defenders.

Enemy Losses

During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck 7 areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment. Also, one Kh-31 missile was destroyed by the Ukrainian air defense forces.

Units of the missile forces inflicted damage on 1 area of concentration of enemy personnel.

The total number of losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 426,870 military personnel.
