The Ukrainian military continues to repulse the assaults of the occupiers on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Also, several attacks on enemy equipment were carried out, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian shelling

Over the day, 61 armed clashes took place. The enemy also carried out 6 missile and 2 aviation strikes, launching 51 bombardments from multiple rocket launchers on the positions of our forces and populated areas.

As a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population. Educational institutions, residential private houses, and apartment buildings, as well as other civilian infrastructure, have suffered destruction and damage.

Frontline situation

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. There were no signs of the formation of offensive groups. Separate units of the armed forces of Belarus perform tasks in the border areas with Ukraine.

In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage and intelligence activities, attacks populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine. Also, an airstrike in the area of ​​Krasnyi Khutir settlement of the Chernihiv region was carried out.

In the Kupiansk direction, our defenders repulsed an attack east of Pischane in the Kharkiv region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to break through the defenses of our troops. More than ten settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman direction, our defenders repelled six attacks near Terny, Yampolivka, in the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops. More than ten settlements were damaged by enemy artillery and mortar shelling.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Defense Forces repulsed two attacks in the Ivanovo district of the Donetsk region, where the enemy unsuccessfully tried to improve the tactical position. More than ten settlements came under artillery and mortar fire.

In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repulsed 16 enemy attacks near Ocheretne, Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, and five more attacks near Pervomaiske and Nevelske, the Donetsk region. More than 15 settlements were hit by enemy artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Maryinka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the occupiers in the districts of Heorhiivka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region. Here, the enemy unsuccessfully tried to improve the tactical position 18 times.

The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Shakhtarsk direction. More than 10 settlements were hit by artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled the attack of the invaders north of Pryiutne, Zaporizhzhia region. More than 15 settlements were hit by artillery and mortar attacks.

In the Kherson direction, the regional center of the Kherson region was hit by enemy artillery fire.

The left bank of the Dnipro River

According to the General Staff, the enemy does not give up its intention to knock out our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Thus, during the day, the enemy made 7 unsuccessful attempts to storm the positions of Ukrainian troops.

Advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces struck 6 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated. Also, one Kh-59 guided air missile was destroyed by the forces and means of air defense of Ukraine.

Units of the missile forces struck 1 artillery piece and 1 radio-electronic warfare station of the enemy.

During the past day, January 29, Ukrainian forces eliminated 960 Russian soldiers.
