Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, repelling Russian attacks near Terniv (the Donetsk region) and damaging two artillery pieces of the enemy, according to the data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian shelling continues

The enemy continues to disregard the laws and customs of war, employing terror tactics, striking military and civilian targets alike. The enemy actively utilizes aviation and FPV-type quadcopters, engaging in assault operations supported by armored vehicles. The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains complex.

Over the past day, there have been 87 combat clashes. In total, the enemy carried out 1 missile and 16 aviation strikes, conducting 43 shelling incidents with reactive multiple launch systems on the positions of our forces and civilian settlements.

Unfortunately, due to Russian terrorist attacks, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population. Private residential houses and other civilian infrastructure have suffered destruction and damage.

Frontline situation

On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the operational situation remains unchanged without significant alterations. There are no apparent signs of the formation of offensive groupings. Identified units of the Belarusian Armed Forces are fulfilling tasks in border areas with Ukraine.

On the Siversk and Slobozhanske fronts, the enemy maintains military presence in border regions, conducts sabotage-reconnaissance activities, shells inhabited areas from the territory of the Russian Federation and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine.

Approximately 15 populated areas, including Liskivschyna, Karpovychi, Hremiach, Khrinivka, Dibrova in Chernihiv region; Zapsillia in the Sumy region; Kozacha Lopan, Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, and Budarky in the Kharkiv region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy.

On the Kupiansk front, our defenders repelled six attacks in the areas of the settlements Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Tabaivka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region, where the enemy attempted to break through the defense of our forces.

More than 10 populated areas, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Ivanivka, and Berestove in the Kharkiv region, came under artillery and mortar fire.

On the Lyman front, Ukrainian soldiers thwarted nine attacks near Terniv in the Donetsk region and another 15 attacks near Serebrianske forestry and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, where the enemy sought to breach the defense of our forces.

Over 15 populated areas, including Nevseke in the Luhansk region, and Terni, Torske, Spirne, Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region, suffered from artillery and mortar shelling.

On the Bakhmut front, Defense Forces repelled three attacks in the areas of Andriivka and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to improve their tactical position. Approximately 10 populated areas, including Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region, were under artillery and mortar fire.

On the Avdiivka front, our defenders repelled 14 enemy attacks in the Avdiivka area and another 17 attacks further south near Tonenke, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region. Here, with the support of aviation, occupiers unsuccessfully attempted to break through the defense of our forces. The enemy also carried out an aerial strike in the Orlivka area of the Donetsk region.

More than 15 populated areas, including Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiivka, and Severne in the Donetsk region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy.

On the Maryinka front,

Defense Forces continue to restrain the enemy in the areas of Marinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. On this direction, invaders, supported by aviation, made six unsuccessful attempts to improve their tactical position.

Heorhiivka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, and Paraskoviivka came under the artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.

On the Shakhtarsk front, the enemy did not engage in offensive (assault) actions. More than 10 populated areas, including Vodiane, Vuhledar, Urozhaine, and Staromykhailivka in the Donetsk region, experienced artillery and mortar shelling.

On the Zaporizhzhia direction, our defenders repelled 2 attacks west of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region, where the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to regain lost ground.

More than 20 populated areas, including Malynivka, Chervone, Bilohirya, Mala Tokmachka, Robotine, and Pyatyhatky in the Zaporizhzhia region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.

In the operational responsibility zone of the Odesa operational-strategic group, on the Kherson front, the regional center of the Kherson region and the areas of populated settlements Antonivka, Berehove in the Kherson region, and Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv region were shelled by the enemy's artillery.

Advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

The enemy persists in its intention to dislodge our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro.

During the past day, the adversary attempted 9 unsuccessful assaults on the positions of our forces.

Enemy losses

Throughout the day, the Defense Forces' aviation carried out strikes in one area of concentration of enemy personnel.

Rocket forces units hit 2 artillery pieces of the enemy.

It is worth noting that the total number of losses in the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 374,520 military personnel.
