Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine as of Friday morning, January 19, amounted to 920 occupiers, bringing the total casualties of the Russian army since the invasion to 374,520 military personnel. Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 20 enemy tanks, 19 artillery systems, and 35 armored vehicles, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The overall Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022 to January 19, 2024 are estimated as follows:

  • Personnel: About 374,520 (+920) individuals.
  • Tanks: 6,167 (+20) units.
  • Armored personnel vehicles (APV): 11,445 (+35) units.
  • Artillery systems: 8,854 (+19) units.
  • Multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS): 966 units.
  • Anti-aircraft warfare systems: 654 (+1) units.
  • Aircraft: 331 units.
  • Helicopters: 324 units.
  • UAV operational-tactical level: 6,929 (+4) units.
  • Cruise missiles: 1,818 units.
  • Warships/boats: 23 units.
  • Submarines: 1 unit.
  • Vehicles and fuel tanks: 11,831 (+37) units.
  • Special equipment: 1,384 (+4) units.

Frontline situation

According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, there were 127 military clashes on the frontlines in Ukraine within the past day. The aggressor forces persist in their attempts to encircle and capture Avdiivka in Donetsk. Notably, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are engaged in intense positional battles on various fronts. On the Avdiivka direction, the enemy actively deploys armored vehicles to support infantry but suffers significant losses, as reported by the Institute for the Study of War.
