Ukrainian fighters continue to advance on two fronts, repelling 16 attacks by Russian forces near Maryinka and destroying one artillery piece belonging to the occupiers, according to data from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Russian shelling

At the beginning of the day, Russian occupiers launched another missile and aviation strike on Ukraine, employing five guided Kh-59 missiles, one Iskander-M ballistic missile, and 12 offensive UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type. Two Kh-59 missiles and 11 Shaheds were destroyed by air defense forces.

Throughout the day, there were 53 military clashes. In total, the enemy delivered 6 missile and 39 aviation strikes and conducted 16 shelling attacks with rocket artillery on our troops' positions and civilian settlements.

Unfortunately, due to Russian terrorist attacks, there have been casualties and injuries among the civilian population. Private residential houses and other civilian infrastructure have suffered destruction and damage.

Frontline situation

The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains complex.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation is without significant changes. There are no signs of the formation of offensive groups.

Designated units of the Armed Forces of Belarus are performing tasks in border areas with Ukraine.

In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, continues shelling of populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine. Occupiers launched an aviation strike in the Buchky area of the Chernihiv region.

Approximately 10 populated areas, including Budo-Vorobyivska in the Chernihiv region, Sosnivka and Turia in the Sumy region, and Udy, Veterynarne, Hatysche, and Neskuchne in the Kharkiv region, experienced artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy.

In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 12 enemy attacks in the areas of Synkivka and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region and four more attacks near Stelmakhivka and Nadiia in the Luhansk region. Additionally, the enemy conducted an aviation strike in the area of the populated settlement Synkivka in the Kharkiv region.

Around 15 populated areas, including Kamianka, Dvorichna, Berestove, Synkivka, and Krokhmalne in the Kharkiv region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted aviation strikes in the areas of Serebrianka forest in the Luhansk region and the populated settlements of Siversk and Spirne in the Donetsk region.

Approximately 20 populated areas, including Makyivka, Nevske, Bilihorivka in the Luhansk region, and Terni, Torske, Verkhniokamianske, and Spirne in the Donetsk region, were affected by artillery and mortar shelling.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops repelled three enemy attacks in the area of Andriivka populated settlement. The enemy conducted an aviation strike in the Klischivka area of the Donetsk region.

Over 15 populated areas, including Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Klischivka, Andriivka, and New York in the Donetsk region, were under the enemy's artillery and mortar fire.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations with aviation support in the areas of Avdiivka and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region. Here, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled seven enemy attacks.

Around 15 populated areas, including Keramik, Avdiivka, Siverne, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region, faced artillery and mortar shelling from the occupiers.

In the Maryinka direction, during the day, the Ukrainian Forces successfully repelled 16 enemy attacks in the Maryinka area of the Donetsk region. The enemy conducted aviation strikes in the areas of Maryinka and Oleksandrivka in the Donetsk region.

Approximately 10 populated areas, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar shelling.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled enemy attacks south of Zolota Niva and south of Prerchyhstivka in the Donetsk region. The enemy conducted an aviation strike in the area of Staryi Maior in the Donetsk region.

Around 10 populated areas, including Vuhledar, Prerchyhstivka, Zolota Niva, and Urozhaine in the Donetsk region, were shelled with artillery and mortars.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled all enemy attacks southwest of Novodanilivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. The enemy also attempted to regain lost ground west of Robotyne and west of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region but was unsuccessful.

Over 20 populated areas, including Poltavka, Huliaypole, Mala Tokmacha, Robotyne, Novodanilivka, and Piatyhatky in the Zaporizhzhia region, were impacted by the enemy's artillery and mortar fire.

Ukrainian counteroffensive

Simultaneously, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol direction and conduct offensive (assault) actions in the Bakhmut direction. They inflict losses on the occupying forces in terms of personnel and equipment and exhaust the enemy along the entire front line.

Enemy losses

During the day, the aviation of the Armed Forces carried out 4 strikes on areas where enemy personnel, weaponry, and military equipment were concentrated.

Units of the missile forces hit 1 artillery piece of the enemy.

The total number of casualties in the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 288,630 military personnel.
