Ukrainian forces continue to advance in the Zaporizhzhia region, repelling enemy attacks in the Maryinka direction and destroying the Russian Strela surface-to-air missile system, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Russian shelling
Over the day, Russian occupiers launched 5 missile strikes, using 4 Kinzhal missiles (1 destroyed) and 1 S-300 missile.
Furthermore, the enemy carried out 24 aerial strikes and conducted around 37 shelling attacks from multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian areas. Unfortunately, due to these attacks, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population, including children.
Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged.
Frontline situation
Over the day, there were 25 clashes.
On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the operational situation remains relatively unchanged.
On the Siversk and Slobozhanske fronts, the enemy conducted mortar and artillery shelling on more than 20 settlements.
On the Kupiansk front, the enemy launched unsuccessful offensive actions in the Synkivka and Ivanivka areas of the Kharkiv region. They carried out aerial strikes in the areas of Kyslivka and Pershotravneve in the Kharkiv region. Enemy artillery and mortar fire targeted over 15 settlements.
On the Lyman front, the enemy launched aerial strikes in the areas of Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, and Vesele, Zaliznianske, Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region. Enemy artillery fire affected over 25 settlements.
On the Bakhmut front, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka, and Bila Hora in the Donetsk region. Over 20 settlements were affected by enemy artillery fire, including Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Kurdiumivka in the Donetsk region.
On the Avdiivka front, under intense enemy aviation and artillery fire, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the Russian forces' advance in the Avdiivka area of the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements were hit by artillery fire.
On the Maryinka front, the Ukrainian forces continue to push away the Russian forces' advance in the area of Maryinka in the Donetsk region. The enemy carried out aerial strikes in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. Over 10 settlements were hit by artillery fire.
On the Shakhtarsk front, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to regain lost positions near Urozhaine in the Donetsk region. The Russians carried out an aerial strike in the area of Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region. Enemy artillery fire targeted Vodiane, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Blahodatne in the Donetsk region.
On the Zaporizhzhia front, the enemy conducted aerial strikes in the areas of Novodanylivka and Orikhove in the Zaporizhzhia region. Over 20 settlements were affected by enemy artillery fire.
On the Kherson front, the enemy's artillery fire hit more than 25 settlements, including Beryslav, Antonivka, Kizomys in the Kherson region, Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv region.
Ukrainian offensive
The Ukrainian defense forces continue their offensive operations on the Melitopol and Berdyansk fronts, consolidating their positions, and conducting counter-battery actions.
Enemy losses
During the day, Ukrainian defense aviation launched 1 strike on the area of enemy personnel, weaponry, and military equipment concentration. Ukraine's defenders also destroyed 4 tactical-level reconnaissance UAVs.
Rocket forces and artillery units targeted and hit 1 enemy Strela anti-aircraft missile complex.
