Russia trains over 10,000 North Korean troops in Far East - source
Russia is currently training over 10,000 North Korean troops in the Far East, according to a source in the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to the source, the North Korean military is being prepared for deployment to the border areas near Ukraine.
They are also being trained to rotate Russian troops to free up their personnel, etc.
Yesterday, sources told RBC-Ukraine that the Russian army is forming a special Buryat battalion based on the 11th separate airborne assault brigade, which numbers approximately 3,000 people. It is staffed by military personnel from North Korea.
Participation of North Korean military in war against Ukraine
On October 8, during a parliamentary hearing, South Korean Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun said that North Korea could send its regular troops to Ukraine to support the Russian occupiers.
This is although by this time North Korean representatives had already been in the occupied territories of Ukraine as so-called advisors. RBC-Ukraine has also learned from its sources that six North Korean officers were killed in a missile strike near Donetsk.
Now we can talk about the involvement of the North Korean military in combat missions. According to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, this is the actual involvement of North Korea in the war against Ukraine.
Western media, citing sources, write that by the end of this year, several thousand North Korean soldiers will be deployed to the front in Ukraine after training in Russia.
At the same time, the head of the Center for Military and Legal Studies, Oleksandr Musiienko, in a commentary to the RBC-Ukraine YouTube channel, did not rule out the appearance of an expeditionary corps of North Korean troops in the area of hostilities in Ukraine, which will perform certain tasks in artillery.
