During the night of December 3, Russia once again struck the energy infrastructure of the Odesa region. The attack caused a fire and injured an employee of the enterprise, Odesa Regional Military Administration head Oleh Kiper reports.
According to Kiper, a nighttime strike by Russian drones in the Odesa district caused a fire at an energy facility. Equipment was also damaged.
“Unfortunately, a worker was injured. He has been hospitalized in serious condition. Doctors are providing the necessary medical care,” he noted.
Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire, and work is underway to eliminate the consequences of the attack.
Meanwhile, law enforcement is documenting yet another crime committed by Russia against the civilian population of the Odesa region.
Strikes on energy sites in the Odesa region
The Odesa region is targeted by Russian drones nearly every night.
On the night of December 2, a massive attack on the southern Odesa region damaged energy and civilian infrastructure, leaving thousands of residents without electricity.
Earlier, on the night of November 16, Russian forces once again struck civilian and energy infrastructure in the area — including damaging a solar power plant.
Before that, the occupiers hit another energy facility in the Odesa region, injuring a DTEK worker. Nearly 30,000 households were left without power.
