Russia targets homes in Zaporizhzhia, leaving fires and casualties behind

On the night of October 5, Russian forces carried out a combined attack on Zaporizhzhia. The enemy struck residential buildings, and preliminary reports indicate there are casualties.

Weapons used by Russia
According to Zaporizhzhia Regional Governor Ivan Fedorov, starting at 01:13 Kyiv time, Russian attack drones were detected heading toward the city. Later, reports confirmed that air defense systems were active.
A little over an hour after the drones were detected, the Zaporizhzhia region and the city faced the threat of guided bomb strikes. Loud explosions were heard throughout the city.
Consequences of the attack
“The enemy carried out at least 10 strikes using Shahed drones and guided bombs; some areas are experiencing power and water outages,” Fedorov reported at 02:51 Kyiv time.
It later became known that residential buildings were hit, fires broke out, and a fire also started at one of the local enterprises as a result of the Russian attack.
Casualties
The number of people injured in Zaporizhzhia continues to rise. Initially, two victims were reported, then four, and currently six people have been confirmed injured, including a 16-year-old girl.
In addition, one person has died.
