Russia suffers record vehicle losses in Ukraine
Russia has faced significant losses since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Recently, the Russian military experienced its highest single-day loss of vehicles, according to Ukraine's Ministry of Defense.
On Saturday, December 14, the Russian army lost the largest number of vehicles since the beginning of the large-scale invasion.
On that day, Ukrainian forces destroyed or disabled 181 enemy vehicles, including various trucks and light vehicles.
The previous record was set on March 15, 2022, when 179 Russian vehicles were destroyed.
Russia’s total losses in Ukraine
Since the invasion began, Russia has lost approximately 763,510 personnel, 19,736 armored vehicles, and 9,563 tanks.
As of December 16, Ukrainian forces eliminated 1,070 Russian soldiers, 29 armored vehicles, and 16 drones in a single day.
Despite these losses, Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed over 1,000 Russians are voluntarily signing contracts daily to join military service.
