On the evening of November 14, Russia launched a massive drone attack on Odesa and its surrounding areas. Destruction has been recorded, with fatalities and injuries reported, states Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.

He stated that as a result of the evening attack, a multi-story residential building in central Odesa was destroyed, causing fires in several apartments. Additionally, high-rise buildings were damaged, around thirty vehicles were affected, and fires broke out at a public institution and a two-story building.

The enemy shelling also damaged a main heating pipeline. As a result, the city's heating plant was temporarily shut down, and repair work is underway.

"The damaged section of the heating network served 220 multi-apartment residential buildings (40,000 residents), 7 kindergartens, and 4 schools. The plant also served one of Odesa's maternity hospitals, which currently houses 28 mothers and 22 infants. The facility is equipped with air conditioners, heaters, a powerful generator, and sufficient fuel reserves. At the moment, the maternity ward will be able to heat autonomously, using its resources. We are closely monitoring the situation," the message reads.

Earlier, Kiper reported that one fatality had been confirmed as a result of the attack, and by 00:49, the number of injured had risen to eight. Among them is a 9-year-old boy, who is in a moderate condition in the hospital, and a 22-year-old man, who is in serious condition.

"Other injured individuals, in moderate condition, have been hospitalized in medical facilities across the city and region. They are receiving all necessary assistance," Kiper stated.

He added that all relevant services are working at the site, including rescuers, utility workers, and law enforcement officers from Odesa.

It is worth noting that the Head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, responded to the Russian attack on Odesa.

"Another Russian terrorist attack in Odesa. Strike on a residential building. Putin simply enjoys fighting civilians. He respects no one, just a sick terrorist," he wrote on Telegram.
