Russia struck energy facilities in 7 regions of Ukraine over past day
Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops attacked energy infrastructure in 7 regions of Ukraine, namely, in Dnipro, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions, according to the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
As a result of the Russian shelling, substations, and consumers were de-energized in Dnipro and Kharkiv regions. Part of the power supply has already been restored.
In the Donetsk region, several substations and a mine with 74 employees were de-energized during the attack. All of them were successfully evacuated to the surface.
In the Chernihiv region, 3,100 customers in three settlements lost power due to damage to overhead lines.
Work is ongoing to restore the power supply.
Russian night attack on Ukraine
Russian occupants continue to terrorize Ukrainians, using nighttime for missile and drone attacks. On the night of September 9, Russia attacked Ukraine from several directions, using a variety of weapons.
Ukraine's Air Defense Forces demonstrated high efficiency, destroying 2 Russian Kh-59/69 guided missiles and 6 Shahed drones.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that a fire broke out in the city as a result of a Russian attack at the site of one of the air raids.
Ukrainian Air Defense Forces were operating in Kyiv and the region.
