Russian forces attacked warehouses of an American-owned enterprise in the Kharkiv region with ballistic missiles, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reports.

"Drone strikes on residential areas in cities are also continuing. A ballistic missile was also used against the Kharkiv region — warehouses of ordinary civilian production were damaged, and this is an American company," Zelenskyy said.

According to him, in Zaporizhzhia, Shahed drones also struck one of the city's districts. FPV drone attacks on Kherson and cities of the Dnipropetrovsk region are ongoing almost around the clock, with the heaviest strikes on Nikopol. The situation is difficult in the border areas of Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions.

What the State Emergency Service says

Earlier, rescuers reported that Russian forces carried out a missile strike on a warehouse building of a civilian enterprise in a suburb of Kharkiv, causing a large-scale fire covering more than 5,000 square meters.

Building structures sustained significant damage. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties. More than 80 rescuers and 20 units of State Emergency Service equipment were involved in dealing with the consequences of the enemy strike.

Russian strikes on Kharkiv and the region

On January 27, Russian forces struck a passenger train on the Chop–Kharkiv–Barvinkove route in the Kharkiv region with a drone. As a result of the attack, there were casualties.

On January 26, due to enemy shelling of critical infrastructure facilities in the Kharkiv region, several settlements, including Chuhuiv, were left without electricity. In addition, two people were injured.
