Russian strike on Mukachevo on August 23
On the night of August 21, Russian troops launched a missile strike on Mukachevo in Zakarpattia. 2 powerful explosions were heard in the city.
As a result of the Russian strike, the plant of the American company Flex, the largest employer and taxpayer in Mukachevo, where about 3,000 people worked, was destroyed.
As a result of the Russian attack on Mukachevo, 23 people were injured, 11 of whom are in hospitals in the region.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, responding to the strike, ironically noted that Russia had decided to free Ukraine from the coffee machines produced at this plant.
ISW analysts believe that the Russian strikes on the plant were likely intended to deter the US and European partners from investing and developing business in Ukraine.
