Russia strikes Ukraine with missile and 206 drones overnight: Air defense's work reported

On the night of April 30, Russia attacked Ukraine with an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 206 strike drones. Ukrainian air defense forces managed to shoot down most of the Russian drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
From 6 p.m. Kyiv time on April 29 until the morning of April 30, the Russians launched an attack using an Iskander-M ballistic missile from the Rostov region, 206 Shahed-type strike drones (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of drones from the following directions: Kursk, Bryansk, Shatalovo, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk of Russia, and Hvardiiske of temporarily occupied Crimea.
Over 140 of the launched drones were Shaheds.
Russian air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare, and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 8 a.m., air defense forces shot down or neutralized 172 Russian Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other drones across the north, south, west, and east of Ukraine.
Ballistic missile strikes and 32 strike drones were recorded at 22 locations, as well as the fall of downed debris at 9 locations.
"Russian attack is ongoing; there are several Russian drones in Ukrainian airspace. Follow safety guidelines!" Ukrainian Air Force warns.
Russian strikes on Ukraine
On the night of April 30, Russia launched two waves of massive strikes on Odesa. The Primorskyi district suffered the most damage; high-rise buildings were on fire, and a kindergarten was significantly damaged.
A total of 16 people were injured, and two are in intensive care in serious condition.
And on the night of April 29, the Russians struck Izmail, Kharkiv, Shostka, and other cities with drones; there are reports of fatalities and injuries.
