Russia strikes Ukraine with 68 drones and 4 missiles: Air defense's work reported
On the night of October 13, Russia attacked Ukraine with missiles and kamikaze drones. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed part of the targets, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Last night, Russia struck the Poltava and Odesa regions with 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Kursk region and Crimea, and 2 Kh-59 guided missiles at Chernihiv and Sumy regions from the airspace of the Kursk region. The Russians also launched 68 attack drones (launch areas: Kursk, Orel).
Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 31 drones in Kyiv, Poltava, Chernihiv, Sumy, and Cherkasy regions.
Another 36 Russian drones were locally lost in different regions of Ukraine, presumably as a result of active countermeasures by electronic warfare. One Shahed is still in the air, and combat operations are ongoing.
Russian air attacks on Ukraine
Russian occupants intensified their air attacks in the fall. Since September, the Russians have been attacking Ukraine every night with attack drones and firing several missiles of various types.
The previous night, October 12, was no exception. The Russian invaders fired 28 kamikaze drones and missiles of unspecified type on Ukraine. The Ukrainian forces shot down most of the targets, and several drones fell due to electronic warfare.
In addition to drone attacks, Russia is constantly striking the frontline regions with guided aerial bombs. In particular, yesterday Russian troops dropped guided aerial bombs on Zaporizhzhia.
