Russia attacked Ukraine with unknown missiles and Shaheds: How many downed by air defense
On the night of October 12, Russia attacked Ukraine with unidentified missiles and attack drones. Most of the Shaheds were destroyed, reports the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
That night, the enemy launched missiles of an unspecified type from the Belgorod region, as well as 28 kamikaze drones (launch area - Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk).
The attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces.
Air defense forces destroyed 24 enemy drones. The air defense system was operating in Sumy, Poltava, Dnipro, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions.
Also, two more drones were lost due to active electronic warfare countermeasures.
Russia's night attack
On the night of October 12, Russians attacked the Mykolaiv region. A drone hit a farm and a fire broke out there.
The Russians also launched a missile attack on Sumy and bombed Zaporizhzhia. Three people were injured in the air strike, including an 11-year-old girl.
