On the night of July 3, Russia struck Ukraine with guided air-to-ground missiles and 105 attack drones. The Ukrainian air defense forces have already revealed the results of their operations, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

How Russia attacked Ukraine on July 3

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched:

  • 2 Kh-59/69 guided air-to-ground missiles from the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia region
  • 105 attack drones of various types, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, jet-powered drones, and Parodiya decoy drones from Russian territory and the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk.

How many targets were destroyed

As of 8:30 a.m. Kyiv time, Ukrainian air defense forces neutralized 83 Russian aerial targets, namely:

  • 1 Kh-59/69 guided missile
  • 82 drones of various types.

The targets were shot down and neutralized in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.

Consequences of Russia’s attack on Ukraine

The following were recorded:

  • 1 Kh-59/69 missile hit its target
  • 21 attack drones struck 16 locations
  • Debris from downed aerial targets fell at 5 locations.

The Ukrainian Air Force also warned that Russia’s air attack is still ongoing. Several Russian drones are currently in Ukrainian airspace.

Russian troops attacked a residential building in the Sumy region. Several people were killed, including a child.

Fires and destruction following Russian strikes were also reported in Kryvyi Rih.

Meanwhile, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, an entire family suffered as a result of a Russian guided aerial bomb strike.
