Russia strikes Ukraine with 178 drones overnight: Air defense's work reported

Russian forces attacked Ukraine overnight with nearly 200 drones. Most of the Russian targets were destroyed by the air defense forces of the Ukrainian Air Force.
"On the night of March 17, Russia launched an attack with 178 strike drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, and Italmas types, as well as other types of drones, from the following directions: Bryansk, Orel, Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk of Russia, and Hvardiiske and Chauda in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea; about 110 of them were Shaheds," the Ukrainian Air Force notes.
Russian air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups.
According to preliminary data, as of 8 a.m. Kyiv time, Ukrainian air defense forces had shot down or neutralized 154 Russian drones.
At the same time, 22 strike drones were recorded hitting 12 locations, and downed Russian targets were found at two locations.
"Russian attack is ongoing; there are several Russian drones in Ukrainian airspace. Follow safety rules," the Ukrainian Air Force adds.

Russian troops attacked many northern and southern regions of Ukraine on the night of March 17.
Russia attacked the Sumy region, and Zaporizhzhia was also under fire. A Russian strike hit near one of the terminals of a logistics operator. 7 employees were at work during the Russian attack. 4 suffered concussions, and 3 others sustained cuts to the head and body.
In addition, the Russians attacked the Odesa region, damaging energy, industrial, and port infrastructure facilities.
The premises of enterprises and some equipment were also damaged. Fires broke out at the sites, which were quickly extinguished by rescue workers. Fortunately, there were no fatalities or injuries.
