Russian forces attacked Ukraine with strike drones overnight. Most of the Russian targets were shot down by air defense forces, but more than ten hits were recorded, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

"On the night of April 29, Russia launched an attack with 171 Shahed-type strike UAVs (including rocket-powered ones), Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of drones from the following directions: Kursk, Shatalovo, Orel, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as the temporarily occupied territories (TOT) of Donetsk, Hvardiiske, and Chauda in the temporarily occupied Crimea; about 120 of them were Shaheds," Ukrainian Air Force notes.

Russian air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and unmanned systems, as well as mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 8 a.m., Ukrainian air defense forces shot down or neutralized 154 Russian Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of drones in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.

At the same time, 12 Russian strike drones were recorded hitting 10 locations, and downed targets were found at 12 locations.

"Russian attack is ongoing; there are several Russian drones in Ukrainian airspace. Follow safety rules," the Ukrainian Air Force adds.

Russian strikes on Ukraine on April 29

On the night of April 29, Russian troops attacked several regions in the east and south of Ukraine. For instance, following Russian strikes in the Slobidskyi district of Kharkiv, windows were shattered in apartment buildings.

Additionally, in the Nemyshlianskyi district, about ten private homes were damaged, and one person was injured.

Furthermore, on the night of April 29, Russians attacked the Shostka community in the Sumy region, where a 60-year-old woman died from carbon monoxide poisoning, and two other people were injured.
