On the night of July 12, Russia attacked Ukraine with 13 missiles and 115 strike drones. Ukrainian air defense forces shot down most of the Russian targets, but some did hit their marks, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

Last night, Russia attacked Ukraine with:

  • 9 Kh-59/69 guided air-to-ground missiles
  • 4 Kh-31 anti-radar missiles from the south
  • 115 Shahed-type strike drones (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera, Italmas, and Parodiya-type decoy drones from the following directions: Kursk, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo (Russia), temporarily occupied Donetsk, and Hvardiiske of temporarily occupied Crimea.

Russian air attack was repelled by the Ukrainian Air Force, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, unmanned aerial systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m. Kyiv time, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down or neutralized 7 Kh-59/69 guided air-to-ground missiles and 95 Russian drones in the north, south, center, and east of Ukraine.

Two Kh-59/69 guided air-to-ground missiles and 19 attack drones were confirmed to have struck 12 locations, and debris from downed targets was found at 12 locations.

In addition, Kh-31 anti-radar missiles did not reach their targets; details are being clarified.

"Russian attack is ongoing; there are several Russian drones in the Ukrainian airspace. Follow safety guidelines!" Ukrainian Air Force warns.

Russian attacks on Ukraine

On the night of July 12, Russian attack drones struck Kharkiv and Dnipro. In both cities, hits on civilian infrastructure were recorded; fires broke out at the sites, and there were casualties.

Russian troops also attacked Kryvyi Rih twice with strike drones. After the first strike, which killed 2 people, the Russians launched another strike on the city.
