Russia strikes Ukraine with 126 drones overnight: Air defense's work reported

On the night of October 29, Russians attacked Ukraine with 126 Shahed and Gerbera strike drones and other types of unmanned aerial vehicles. Ukrainian air defense forces neutralized or suppressed 93 of them, but some hits were recorded, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
The Russian attack began on the evening of October 28 and continued throughout the night.
According to the Ukrainian military, Russians launched drones from several directions - Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), as well as from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine: Donetsk, Chaudy, and Hvardiiske (Crimea). About 80 of them were Shahed drones.
Russian air attack was repelled by the Ukrainian Air Force, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups, and drone systems of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
As of 9 a.m. Kyiv time, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down or suppressed 93 Russian drones in the north and east of Ukraine. At the same time, 32 drones were recorded hitting 10 locations.
Ukrainian military notes that the Russian attack is ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in Ukraine's airspace.
Russian strikes on Ukraine on September 29
Last night, Russia carried out another massive drone attack on civilian infrastructure in the Odesa region, and in the morning, it struck the center of Chernihiv with a Shahed drone.
In particular, a DTEK energy facility was damaged in the Odesa region, and an employee was injured. Nearly 30,000 homes were left without power.
In Chernihiv, Russian troops attacked a critical infrastructure facility. There were no casualties.
Yesterday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine's partners had formed a coalition to support the energy sector, which has suffered significant damage from Russian strikes.
