Russia strikes Ukraine with 110 drones overnight: Air defense's work reported
On the night of December 2, Russia launched 110 drones into Ukraine. Ukrainian air defense forces were operating in 10 regions, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
That night, Russian occupiers launched 110 Shaheds and other types of drones from four districts - Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, and Prymorsko-Akhtarsk.
Ukrainian air defense systems were operating in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Poltava, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. As of 8:30 a.m. Kyiv time, 52 drones have been confirmed downed. Another 50 drones have been lost.
6 drones flew in the direction of Russia and Belarus, and 1 more is still in the air.
Russia's night attack
On the night of December 2, Russian occupiers attacked Ternopil. Russian drone hit a five-story residential building. The attack caused a large-scale fire in the building. In addition, the blast wave damaged the windows of neighboring buildings, a school, and 20 cars.
As a result of the Russian attack, 1 person was killed, 3 were injured, and about 100 residents were evacuated.
Russians also tried to attack Kyiv with Shaheds. About 20 drones were shot down in Kyiv and on its outskirts. There were no hits in Kyiv, and no damage or casualties were reported.
