Russia's nighttime attack on Kyiv: Ukraine's air defense downs about 20 drones
Russian forces launched drones at Kyiv again during the night of December 1 to 2. The air raid alert in the capital lasted for 4.5 hours, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration's Telegram channel.
Serhii Popko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, stated that the enemy drones entered Kyiv in waves from different directions, as they had done previously. Defense forces detected and neutralized about two dozen enemy UAVs that posed a potential threat to the city. No destruction or casualties have been reported as a result of the attack.
“Operational data is being updated and clarified. We thank our defenders for their protection,” he concluded.
Additionally, air raid alerts were declared in Kyiv about an hour ago due to another potential drone threat. However, by 7 AM (Kyiv time), the alert was lifted.
