On the night of October 26, Russian forces carried out a massive drone attack across Ukraine. Air defenses shot down most of the targets, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
In total, the enemy launched 101 attack drones, including Shahed and Gerbera types, as well as other models.
The launches came from the directions of Kursk, Orel, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Hvardiiske – temporarily occupied territory in Crimea. About 60 of them were Shahed drones.
Ukraine’s response involved aviation, surface-to-air missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups, and unmanned systems units of the Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, by 9:00 a.m., air defenses had shot down or suppressed 90 enemy drones in the north, south, and east of the country.
Despite the effective defense, five attack drones hit four locations, and debris from downed drones fell in five districts.
