Russia strikes Ukraine's Sumy with guided bombs, hitting civilian infrastructure

On the night of July 17, Russia launched another strike on Sumy using guided aerial bombs. According to Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, civilian infrastructure in several parts of the city was hit.
"Preliminary reports indicate five guided aerial bomb strikes. Less than six hours had passed since the previous guided aerial bomb strike on the outskirts of Sumy," Hryhorov writes.
Civilian infrastructure in Sumy was hit in several parts of the city, including two strikes in the city center.
It has also been determined that a non-residential high-rise building was damaged at one of the strike’s epicenters, and hundreds of windows were shattered in surrounding buildings.
Assessments of the affected areas are ongoing. All necessary emergency services are on the ground.
Information regarding casualties and the extent of the damage is being verified, the head of the Regional Military Administration emphasizes.
Earlier that morning, Russia also launched a strike with guided air bombs on Sumy. Over 20 casualties were reported. Russia also struck the city on the evening of July 16.
On July 11, Russia also struck Sumy with guided aerial bombs. 5 people were killed, and over 30 were wounded in that attack.
