Situation in Sumy region

According to the Institute of War Studies, Russia's Vladimir Putin may be planning to seize the Sumy region for the sake of a buffer zone. At the same time, Ivan Tymochko, the head of the Army Reservists Council, said that Russian troops do not have enough forces and means for a massive offensive on the Sumy region. He noted that the enemy's operations are currently at the level of strategic deployment of troops.

Despite this, the Russians do not stop striking the Sumy region. For example, Russia recently launched a missile attack on a shooting range in the Sumy region. As a result, there were casualties and wounded among Ukrainian soldiers.

At the same time, according to the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Oleh Hryhorov, Russian troops have seized several border villages in the Sumy region. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding the line and not allowing Russian troops to advance.
