Russia strikes Ukraine's Sumy region: Houses damaged and fires broke out

Russian troops attacked the Sumy region. Houses and buildings were damaged, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
At night, Russian troops struck the Nova Sloboda and Vorozhba communities in the Sumy region.

State Emergency Service specialists quickly extinguished all fires.
Preliminary reports indicate no casualties or injuries among the civilian population.
Russian attack on Sumy region
On the night of August 18, Russian troops struck the Sumy region. Residential areas and civilian infrastructure were hit.
In the Shostka community, a residential area came under Russian fire, damaging houses and farm buildings. Large-scale fires broke out, but they were extinguished, and there were no casualties.
Russia also struck the Sumy State University. One of the buildings was destroyed, and the fire had to be extinguished until morning.
In addition, hits on other civilian infrastructure facilities in the region were recorded.
The Sumy region is regularly subjected to Russian strikes. On August 15, a Russian suicide drone hit a market in the center of Sumy, and on August 10, Russia struck the Sumy Regional State Administration building. In both cases, there were no casualties.
