On the night of May 5, Russian forces carried out a missile and drone attack on Ukraine's Poltava region. As a result of the strike, there are deaths, dozens injured, and infrastructure damage, reports head of Poltava Regional Military Administration Vitalii Diakivnych.
"Tonight, the enemy attacked the Poltava region with missiles and strike drones. Direct hits and falling debris were recorded at two locations in the Poltava district," the statement says.
As a result of the attack, the industrial enterprise was damaged, as well as the railway infrastructure. 3,480 subscribers were left without a gas supply.
As a result of the attack, there are dead and injured. As of this morning, four people are known to have been killed. Another 31 people were injured with varying degrees of severity. All victims are receiving necessary medical assistance.

Russian forces carried out another air attack on Ukraine tonight. Several regions came under strikes at once, including the Kyiv region, Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia.
Missile launches were recorded toward Kharkiv and Cherkasy, while the enemy struck Zaporizhzhia with guided aerial bombs. As a result of attacks, residential buildings and other infrastructure were damaged in a number of cities.
In Dnipro, three private houses were damaged. The critical infrastructure facility was also damaged. Due to an enemy attack on the city, one person was injured, the regional administration reported.
In the Kyiv region, three people were injured, with hits recorded in the residential sector of Brovary district and at an industrial facility in Vyshhorod district.
Civilians were also affected in other regions.
