Russia strikes Ukraine's Okhtyrka with 15 drones: 3 children among wounded

Russian troops struck Okhtyrka in the Sumy region tonight, August 20. As a result of the strike, 14 people were wounded, including 3 children from one family, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the head of the Sumy Regional State Administration, Oleh Hryhorov.
"Last night, a drone strike on Okhtyrka in the Sumy region injured 14 people. A family with wounded children – 5 months, 4 years, and 6 years old – sought assistance after the attack," Zelenskyy says.
According to the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, the 5-month-old boy has an acute stress reaction, but his life is not in danger. 8 patients are currently being examined in the hospital, while the rest are being treated on an outpatient basis.
"The attack caused large-scale fires. The largest fires were only localized in the early morning. There is damage on five streets in the city," Hryhorov says.
In total, around midnight, the Russians attacked the community with 15 strike drones, 8 of which hit the residential sector.
Russian strikes damaged 39 private houses, a 2-story apartment building, as well as non-residential and industrial premises. Three cars were destroyed or damaged.
Russian night attack on Ukraine
On the night of August 20, Russia launched a massive drone strike on the city of Okhtyrka in the Sumy region. Over 10 people are known to have been injured, including children.
In addition, Russia strikes Izmail in the Odesa region with drones. The strike caused a large fire, and one person is known to have been injured.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched 2 Iskander-M missiles and 93 Shahed strike drones, and drone simulators at Ukraine during the night. Ukrainian air defense forces shot down or suppressed one of the 2 ballistic missiles and 62 Russian drones.
