Russia strikes Ukraine's Kryvyi Rih with missiles, triggering fire, outages and injuries

Russian forces launched a missile strike on Kryvyi Rih in Ukraine on Saturday afternoon, August 15. The attack sparked a fire in the city, caused power outages, and injured people, Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration head Oleksandr Hanzha and local media report.
Details of attack we know so far
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Ukraine came under a missile attack at around 2:37 p.m. The first enemy targets were detected over the Dnipropetrovsk region. Prior to that, monitoring channels reported that the Russians had launched at least three Tu-22M3 aircraft.
Notably, at 2:46 p.m., the Air Force also detected a Banderol loitering munition over the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Outcomes of recent strike
At around 3:16 p.m., Oleksandr Hanzha said that Russian forces had struck Kryvyi Rih.
"A fire broke out. A man was injured. The consequences are being clarified," he wrote on Telegram.
Meanwhile, local media reported that the attack caused power outages and disruptions to electric public transportation. Several media outlets later reported that transit service had resumed. City Defense Council head Oleksandr Vilkul also confirmed that electricity had been restored and said that two people had been injured in Kryvyi Rih.
"The enemy struck our city. Two people were injured. The fire is being extinguished. The power situation has already been stabilized," the post said.
Other attacks on Kryvyi Rih
Previously, on the morning of July 26, Russian forces attacked the only Epicentr hypermarket in Kryvyi Rih with a drone. The strike sparked a fire that engulfed more than 16 square meters of the building.
As was reported earlier, overnight on July 3, Russian forces launched a missile strike on Kryvyi Rih. They hit a densely built-up urban area, causing fires in residential buildings.
