Russia strikes Ukraine's Kharkiv, leaving many casualties

On the morning of May 14, Russian drones attacked three districts of Kharkiv. Many people were injured, including two who are in severe condition, according to Oleh Synehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, and Ihor Terekhov, mayor of Kharkiv.
According to Syniehubov, Russian forces struck the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv with drones. Initially, 9 casualties were reported, but the number of people seeking medical assistance later rose to 14.
"We are continuing to address the consequences of the Russian strike," he notes.
The Russians also attacked the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv with drones.
As specified by the Regional Military Administration, 12 people are currently in hospitals due to the Russian morning attack on the city.
All have been diagnosed with blast injuries. Two people are in severe condition.
In addition, 3 more women sought medical assistance following the Russian strike on the Saltivskyi district.
Their condition is stable, and they did not require hospitalization.
Russian massive attack on Ukraine on night of May 14
On the night of May 14, the Russian military continued a large-scale, hours-long attack on Ukraine, launching drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles. The main target was Kyiv, where one person was killed, and the number of casualties continues to rise.
The Kyiv region also suffered significant damage. In Kremenchuk, the Russians struck energy infrastructure, while in Chornomorsk, port facilities and residential buildings were hit.
As of now, 40 casualties have been reported in Kyiv. Among them is a one-month-old infant who was poisoned by carbon monoxide. According to city authorities, 20 people have been hospitalized, including the child.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia launched 675 drones and 56 missiles of various types at Ukraine overnight.
Yurii Ihnat, a spokesperson for the Ukrainian Air Force, emphasizes that this was one of the most massive strikes of the entire full-scale war. Russia deployed virtually its entire arsenal of available air attack capabilities.
And Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that in the last 24 hours alone, the Russian army launched over 1,560 drones at Ukrainian cities and communities.
