Russia strikes Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region: Enterprises damaged, fire broke out

Russian troops attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region with strike drones tonight, July 22. Russian strike caused a fire and damaged businesses, according to Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration head Serhii Lysak.
"In the Mahdalynivka community of the Samar district, an infrastructure facility was damaged as a result of a Russian drone strike. A fire broke out, which has already been extinguished. There was also a fire in the Vasylkivka community of the Synelnykove district due to a drone attack. A state-owned enterprise was destroyed," Lysak said.
Russia also targeted the Zelenodolsk community in the Kryvyi Rih district with an FPV drone. Infrastructure was damaged.
"The Nikopol district suffered from FPV drone and artillery strikes. There was loud noise in the district center, Marhanets, and Pokrovske communities. Information on the consequences is being clarified," added the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
He also added that during the night, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 14 Russian drones in the region.
Russian strikes on Dnipro and region
The Russians regularly strike Dnipro and the region using various types of missiles and strike drones.
On June 24, the Russians attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region with missiles. According to Mayor Boris Filatov, in terms of damage, it was one of the most daring strikes on Dnipro since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
In Dnipro, infrastructure, educational and medical institutions, administrative buildings, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine building, and a Ukrainian Railways passenger train were hit.
Other settlements in the region were also shelled, in particular the city of Samar. June 25 was declared a day of mourning in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
