Russia launched ballistic missile strikes on Dnipro, according to the Ukrainian Air Force and Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
Preliminary reports indicate that four people were injured.
"Russia launched strikes on Dnipro. A private business was damaged," Hanzha writes.
Before the explosions were heard in Dnipro, the Ukrainian Air Force had warned of ballistic missile launches heading toward the city.
"There is a threat of ballistic missile strikes (from the southeast)," experts specify.
At 12:45 p.m., the number of casualties rose to 9. One man was killed.
"8 of the injured are in hospitals. Medical personnel assess their condition as moderate. Another person will recover at home," the head of the Regional Military Administration reports.
Russia struck an energy facility in the Poltava region. Due to the morning Russian strike, some people were left without power; utility workers are doing everything possible to restore electricity to homes.
Overnight, Russia attacked Ukraine with over 200 strike drones and seven ballistic missiles.
