Russia strikes Ukraine's Dnipro, leaving killed and injured

On September 2, Russians carried out a new airstrike on Dnipro, killing at least 2 residents, according to Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
At 1:13 p.m. Kyiv time, Hanzha confirmed that Russia had attacked the city again, causing a fire to break out in Dnipro.
A few minutes later, he clarified that at least 6 civilians were known to have been injured.
In addition, grocery warehouses belonging to a retail chain were hit by Russian strikes.
"One person was killed in the Russian attack on Dnipro. Rescue workers are recovering the body of the deceased man from under the rubble," Hanzha stated at 1:38 p.m.
However, he later added that the number of casualties in the city had risen. According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, a woman who had sustained severe injuries had died.
"Medical personnel fought to save her life until the very end, but were unable to do so. My sincere condolences go out to the families and loved ones of the victims," Hanzha added.

At 2:47 p.m., Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported that the number of casualties had risen to 5.
In addition, 2 passenger cars caught fire.
"Firefighters extinguished the blaze. 17 rescue workers and five pieces of equipment from the State Emergency Service were on the scene," the statement said.

At 2:54 p.m., according to Hanzha, the number of casualties from the Russian attack on the city had risen to 8.
"3 people have been hospitalized in severe condition. Medical personnel assess the condition of the others as moderate," he clarified.

At 3:09 p.m., several educational institutions and apartment buildings in Dnipro were also reported to have been damaged as a result of the Russian attack.
