Russian drone hits Kyiv university during classes, Zelenskyy says

On September 2, Russian forces attacked one of Kyiv's universities, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
"Today, Russian Shaheds struck one of the universities in Kyiv – right during classes. Fortunately, the students were in the shelter – 160 students," the president said.
However, Zelenskyy has not yet revealed which educational institution was targeted.
According to him, Russian forces also attacked Odesa overnight.

This time, an ordinary residential building and city infrastructure came under attack.

"Five people were injured, including a child. In Kherson, the Russians struck a building used by first responders and police. In the Kharkiv region, thousands of people were left without electricity after a strike, and there are injuries," Zelenskyy said.

The president also noted that air raid alerts continue in many regions due to the threat of jet-powered drones and guided aerial bombs.

Against this backdrop, the president recalled that global pressure on Russia has still not forced it to end the war.
"When Russian-Iranian Shaheds are waging this kind of round-the-clock terror in Europe, it cannot remain a problem for our country alone. Every such strike against Ukrainians, every such use of Shaheds and other weapons against our cities and villages is effectively Russia practicing tactics that it is preparing for other countries and other peoples as well," Zelenskyy warned.
On the morning of September 2, Russian forces attacked Kyiv, causing a fire.
It later became known that Russian forces carried out repeated strikes. A six-story building and an educational institution are on fire in the capital.
