Russian drone strike triggers fire in Ukraine's Kyiv

On the morning of September 2, firefighters are still working to extinguish a fire in Kyivєs Holosiivskyi вistrict following a new Russian attack, according to Kyiv's mayor, Vitali Klitschko.
The fire broke out after debris from a Russian drone fell.
"In the Holosiivskyi district, firefighters are extinguishing a fire in an open area that was caused by falling Russian drone debris," Klitschko emphasizes.
On the evening of September 1, a fire also raged in an open area in the Holosiivskyi district following a Russian attack.
In addition, a fire was reported at that time in a private home in the Solomianskyi district.
Russian attacks on Kyiv and region
On the morning of September 1, Russian troops struck the capital with drones. As a result of the Russian strike in the Podilskyi district, a fire broke out on the upper floors of a 16-story building.
In the evening, the Russians attacked Vyshneve in the Kyiv region with drones. Two townhouses in the town were destroyed as a result of the Russian strike.
At the same time, warehouses in the Bucha district came under Russian fire, causing a fire to break out at the site. A woman born in 1971 was injured.
Amid intensifying Russian attacks, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the closure of the Russian airspace.
