Russia strikes Ukraine's Chernihiv region with drones: Energy hit, grain storage burned down

Russian troops attacked the Chernihiv region with strike drones and caused a fire. The strike hit a grain storage facility, the head of the Novhorod-Siverskyi district military administration, Oleksandr Selvestrov, and the Chernihiv regional energy company
"On the morning of October 7, the Russians launched another attack on Novhorod-Siverskyi. Several Shahed strike drones hit a civilian facility, causing fires," Selvestrov says.

According to him, a Russian strike hit one of the premises of an agricultural enterprise where grain was stored. As noted, there were no casualties.

According to the head of the Chernihiv regional military administration, Viacheslav Chaus, Russia attacked a grain elevator in the Novhorod-Siverskyi district with strike drones. In another settlement, a residential building was hit. Rescuers quickly extinguished the fires caused by the Russian strikes.

"This morning, Russia targeted the Pryluky district. Once again, an energy facility has been hit. More than 61,000 customers were left without power at once," Chernihiv regional energy company reports.
Energy workers quickly began repairs and are already restoring power to consumers. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

Yesterday evening, the Russians also launched attack drones. An alarm was sounded in a number of regions. Russian troops had struck the Sumy community with drones, causing power outages in part of the city.
The Russians also struck Poltava and the surrounding region, hitting a railway depot and leaving part of the city without electricity.
According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russians used 2 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles and 152 Shahed and Gerbera strike drones, as well as other types of drones, during the night.
