Russia strikes Ukraine's Sumy with drones: Power outages reported

Russia struck the Sumy community with drones. Part of the city has power outages, according to Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy regional military administration, and Serhii Kryvosheiko, head of the Sumy city military administration.
Russia struck a civilian infrastructure facility in the Zarichnyi district of the city. There is damage, particularly in the residential sector.
There are also partial power outages.
Preliminary reports indicate no casualties.
"Specialists are currently surveying the area and assessing the damage. A headquarters is being set up to deal with the aftermath of the Russian attack," the head of the regional military administration says.
Serhii Kryvosheiko confirms that the strikes have caused power outages in part of the city.
According to him, about 50 windows were broken in nearby high-rise buildings.
Russian strike on Sumy and region
On Saturday, October 4, the Russian army launched a double drone strike on the railway station and two passenger trains in the city of Shostka.
Following the Russian strike, the city of Shostka and a portion of the district were left without power.
On the night of October 7, some houses had constant power, while others had power supplied on a temporary schedule.
As of 1 a.m., Kyiv time on October 7, the gas supply had been almost completely restored.
Communications and mobile internet are working at almost 100% capacity.
