On the night of Tuesday, October 7, the Russian army attacked the territory of Ukraine with strike drones and ballistic missiles, the Ukrainian Air Force reported.

At 18:00 (Kyiv time) on Monday, October 6, the enemy launched an attack using two Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles and 152 Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of strike drones.

The missiles were launched from the Rostov region, while the drones came from five other directions: Orel, Kursk, Shatalovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Chauda. About 80 of them were Shaheds.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces' aviation repelled the air attack, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and unmanned systems, as well as mobile fire groups.

According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, 88 enemy drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types were shot down or suppressed by air defense in the north and east of the country.

Hits of two missiles and 52 strike UAVs were recorded at 10 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones at 2 locations.

Yesterday evening, Russian forces also launched strike drones. Air raid alerts were announced in several regions of Ukraine.

In the morning, it became known that they struck the Sumy community with drones – part of the city is experiencing power supply disruptions.

The Russians also struck Poltava and the region – there, hits were recorded at a railway depot, and part of the city is without electricity.
