On the night of August 8, the town of Bucha in the Kyiv region was hit by a massive Russian drone attack. Russian strikes damaged a kindergarten and private homes, according to Bucha Mayor Anatolii Fedoruk.

"Russians attacked Bucha overnight. 7 private homes and a kindergarten were damaged. The main thing is that there are no casualties," the report says.

According to him, Ukrainian air defense forces worked effectively and were able to shoot down most of the Russian targets, but some of the objects were destroyed and need to be restored.

Rescuers, utility services, and police are working at the site. Residents whose homes have been damaged are being provided with assistance in restoration and temporary accommodation.

At 8:35 a.m. Kyiv time, Fedoruk specified that over 10 Russian suicide bombers were directed at the community.

Tonight, Russians attacked the Bucha district of the Kyiv region with drones. The strikes caused fires in the private sector.

Russia also struck Kharkiv with drones. A fire broke out on the territory of a civilian enterprise in the Saltivskyi district.

In addition, Russia attacked Shostka, Sumy region. Ukrainian air defense forces shot down Russian drones, but damage could not be avoided.

In total, the Ukrainian Air Force destroyed over 80 Russian drones last night. Most of them were Shaheds, as well as jet drones and simulators.
