Russian forces attacked the Bucha district of Kyiv region with drones overnight on Friday, August 8. Three people were reported injured, according to the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk.

Kalashnyk said that three women aged 16, 56, and 80 were injured in the attack, adding that the wounds were reportedly minor.

The strike also caused fires in the private sector and damaged houses. Emergency services are working at the scene.

Shahed drone attack

Late on August 7, Russian forces launched several groups of attack drones from different directions, targeting the Kyiv region and Kharkiv.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported an explosion around midnight, later confirming a Shahed strike in the Saltivskyi district that caused a fire at a civilian enterprise.

Earlier, on the morning of August 6, Russian forces attacked a Ukrainian energy unit in the Dnipropetrovsk region, and later shelled Nikopol, killing two men and a woman, including a 23-year-old rescuer, and injuring others.
