In the Dnipropetrovsk region, a Russian drone attacked a Ukrainian DTEK crew during emergency repairs. The vehicle and all equipment were destroyed, but the power engineers managed to escape.

On August 29, a team of power engineers was performing emergency repairs near the front line in the Dnipropetrovsk region. At that moment, a Russian drone flew in and hit a DTEK service vehicle.

The powerful explosion caused the vehicle to burst into flames and burn to the ground. All the equipment used for repairs was destroyed along with the vehicle.

The power engineers who were at the site of the Russian attack survived.

The company emphasized that despite the constant threat of Russian strikes, the crews continue to restore power to the people.

On August 6, the Russians attacked a unit of Ukrainian power engineers in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region. As a result of the Russian attack, the power equipment caught fire. The power engineers were not injured. The State Emergency Service of Ukraine quickly extinguished the fire, after which DTEK employees immediately got to work.

Earlier, the Institute for the Study of War reported that Russian air attacks on Ukraine could intensify in the coming weeks. Among other things, Russia wants to worsen the state of the Ukrainian energy sector.

On the night of August 31, the Russian army attacked the city of Chornomorsk in the Odesa region with drones. After the attack, the city lost power, leaving about 29,000 customers without electricity.
