Russian air attacks on Ukraine may intensify in the coming weeks. Russia, among other things, wants to worsen the state of Ukrainian energy, according to a report from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

According to ISW, the Russian leadership used preparations for the summit of the US and Russian leaders in Alaska to accumulate drones and missiles. At the same time, the Russians carried out limited strikes on Ukraine to falsely present themselves as good-faith negotiator to the US administration.

“Russia will likely escalate its strikes against Ukraine in the coming weeks to leverage its replenished missile and drone stockpiles and degrade Ukrainian energy infrastructure ahead of the coming winter,” the ISW report says.

Massive Russian air attacks on Ukraine

After the meeting of Russian leader Vladimir Putin with US President Donald Trump in Alaska, the Russian army has already attacked Ukraine several times, massively with drones and missiles.

On the night of August 28, the enemy attacked Kyiv with ballistic and cruise missiles as well as drones. The Russians hit a five-story building, as a result of which more than 20 people were killed.

And already on the night of August 30, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, and other settlements of Ukraine came under attack. That night, the Russians launched 537 drones and 45 missiles of various types.
