Russia strikes residential building in Ukraine's Kharkiv, killing and wounding many

On the morning of July 8, Russian troops launched a missile strike on a residential building in Kharkiv. There are reports of fatalities and dozens of casualties, according to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.
The Russians struck a 5-story residential building in the Nemyshlianskyi district of the city with a missile.
So far, one person is known to have been killed and 13 injured. Among them are 3 children.
There are also reports of 15 people wounded across all locations hit by this morning’s strikes on Kharkiv, and that number is rising.
In addition, a Russian strike drone hit a gas station in the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv. A fire broke out at the site of the strike. No information regarding casualties has been received yet.
As 10:08 a.m. Kyiv time, the death toll in Kharkiv has risen to 2, with the number of injured reaching 20.
As of 10:48 a.m., 2 people were killed, and 19 others were injured as a result of a Russian strike on a residential building. Among them are 4 children. Medical personnel are providing them with all necessary care.
The fifth floor of the building was partially destroyed, and two cars nearby were damaged.
At another Russian strike site, a 40-square-meter outbuilding caught fire; the blaze has already been contained.

As of 11:04 a.m., the number of casualties in the Nemyshlianskyi district of Kharkiv has risen to 23.
16 people were injured, including children aged 17, 16, 12, and 3. 5 people are currently in the hospital; a man is in critical condition and undergoing surgery.
Another 7 casualties suffered acute stress reactions and received medical care on the scene.
2 people, approximately 60 years old, were killed; their identities are being verified.
Russian attacks on Ukraine
On the night of July 8, Russia attacked Ukraine with anti-radar and ballistic missiles, as well as strike drones and decoy drones.
Air defense forces shot down 139 Russian drones of various types, but some strikes were successful.
In particular, Kyiv endured another Russian missile attack last night. As a result of the Russian strike, fires broke out in two districts of Kyiv, and there are reports of casualties.
Also, Russians attacked a car and a minibus twice this morning with drones in the Korabelnyi district of Kherson. A woman was killed in the Russian strikes, and 9 other people were injured.
