Railway operations continue
Ukrainian Railways notes that the consequences of the Russian strike are being quickly eliminated. Despite the difficult security situation, rail service, passenger transportation, and the transport of important cargo continue to operate as usual.
The Ministry emphasizes that the Russian attacks on the railway are part of Russia's systematic strategy aimed at putting pressure on Ukraine's civilian logistics and life support system.
Russian strikes on Ukrainian railway
Ukrainian Railways has temporarily restricted train traffic on the Dnipro-Zaporizhzhia route. This decision was made due to attacks on railway infrastructure and the detection of Russian drones near the routes.
In recent days, Russian drones have carried out at least 7 strikes on railway facilities in Ukraine.
Russia has been attacking civilian railway infrastructure in Konotop for the second day in a row. As a result of the Russian drone strikes, tracks, station territory, a repair shop, and an administrative building of the locomotive depot were damaged, and fires broke out.
