On the evening of April 16, Russian forces launched a guided aerial bomb strike on Zaporizhzhia, destroying a house of prayer, killing one, and injuring several, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.

"There are already 3 wounded. The number of casualties from the Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia has increased. There is destruction. Unfortunately, one person has been killed. All the wounded are receiving the necessary assistance," he writes.

The house of prayer attacked by the Russians is located in one of Zaporizhzhia's districts. Preliminary reports indicate that the Russians struck the area with guided aerial bombs. In addition to the house of prayer, several other infrastructure and residential buildings were damaged.

Over the past 24 hours, Russia attacked Ukraine with hundreds of drones and missiles, striking 26 locations. There are fatalities and injuries in several cities, with the most extensive damage in Kyiv, Dnipro, and Odesa. RBC-Ukraine has compiled the consequences of the Russian massive combined attack.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that over the past 24 hours, Russia deployed 44 missiles and 659 drones. The strikes occurred in two waves, during which Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed or neutralized 667 of the Russian drones and missiles.

A distinctive feature of this Russian attack was the use of a large number of ballistic missiles—19 Iskander-M/S-400 missiles were launched at 4 Ukrainian regions.
