Russia strikes Naftogaz facilities again: Six attacks on gas production in one week

Russian forces continue targeted attacks on Naftogaz Group facilities. The enemy carried out another strike on equipment used for natural gas production, according to Naftogaz on Telegram.
The company said that in the past week alone, six attacks were recorded on gas production infrastructure. These strikes are clearly aimed at civilian objects and are intended to undermine the country’s energy security.
"These are deliberate attacks on civilian infrastructure to leave Ukrainians without heat and gas during the cold season. Fortunately, there are no casualties. Specialized teams are already working on-site," the statement said.
Shelling of Ukraine on January 17
As a reminder, overnight on January 17, Russia launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine, sending 115 strike drones from various directions. Air defense forces destroyed 96 enemy UAVs.
Meanwhile, hits by 16 attack drones were recorded at 11 locations, and debris from downed drones fell at two additional locations.
In the morning, Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia with strike drones. The shelling caused a fire after hitting an infrastructure facility.
During the night, an explosion occurred in Kharkiv in a high-rise building. Preliminary reports indicate casualties and injuries from the incident.
Explosions were also heard in Kyiv, which was under attack by Russian drones.
Additionally, the Russian army struck an energy facility in Odesa region, causing a fire and recorded damage.
In Bucha district of Kyiv region, around 56,000 households were left without electricity due to the enemy attack.
