Russia strikes Kherson: Rescuer and police officers among injured
Russia attacked Kherson on July 11. The Russian occupiers struck again at the emergency services, 5 people were wounded, according to the National Police of Ukraine.
"In the evening, Russian troops fired from a tank at the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson," the statement says.
Police officers, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and public utilities immediately arrived at the scene.
"At this time, the Russians once again used their usual tactics - in a short time, they twice struck at the employees of specialized services from drones," the police says.
Two 21-year-old Kherson police officers, a 34-year-old rescuer, a 38-year-old employee of the Kherson Regional Military Administration's press service, and a 55-year-old civilian man were injured, suffering mine-blast traumas, wounds, and contusions.
"A fire truck also sustained mechanical damage," law enforcement officers add.
A multi-story building and three private houses, as well as a civilian car, were also damaged.
Russian shelling of Kherson and region
Russian troops are constantly attacking Kherson and the right bank of the region, whose settlements were regained by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the fall of 2022.
For example, on the afternoon of July 11, the Russian occupiers attacked a warehouse in Stanislav from a drone. The explosion damaged a vehicle carrying humanitarian aid, injuring two warehouse workers and two volunteers.
In May, the Russian occupiers shelled the center of Kherson from the air. 19 people were injured, including a teenager. Multi-story buildings were also damaged.
